In the UK, you'll recognise members of the UHY Hacker Young Group because we will be using UHY at the start of our names (apart from our offices in Scotland). Increasingly so will other firms around the globe who are also members of the UHY international network

In 1982, the UHY Hacker Young Chartered Accountants Nottingham office was set up to service the national and international accounting needs of many longstanding clients in the Nottingham area. In 2007, Chilwell based accountancy firm, Jackson Bly, merged with UHY Hacker Young's Nottingham office, to become UHY Jackson Bly. Talks of a merger began a couple of years previously, and following the sudden and sad loss of partner, Richard Jackson, in 2007, they revisited the discussions. The merger means that UHY Hacker Young now has representation in Nottingham with six partners and just under 50 staff.

Today our growing client base consists of sole traders, family businesses, medium and large companies and partnerships.

We offer a wide range of specialist accountancy services, including personal and corporate finance, taxation, venture capital and computer services. Many of these accountancy services are provided by local staff; others are provided from elsewhere in the UHY Hacker Young Group.

Our partners develop close working relationships with their clients. They also maintain good contacts with members of the East Midlands business community, including solicitors, banks and other lending institutions. These contacts allow us to help clients with submissions to these organisations and to effect beneficial introductions.

Whilst accountancy services remain the core services provided by the office we also recognise the ever changing business world by offering additional value added services such as financial planning advice, dispute resolution advice, bank support advice arbitration services, acting as expert witnesses, selling businesses and assisting in the purchase of businesses and much more. You'll find more than your ordinary accountant at UHY Hacker Young's two Nottingham office locations.
